Community Builder

We don’t grow in isolation

From building a clubhouse as a child to supporting corporate cultural development through executive communication workshops and speaker training, I have always been a practitioner of community building.

I create spaces where people come together across difference. I bring diverse voices into shared focus.

Community can be a morning practice, or it can grow into longer engagements.

At the core of my work is one belief: people do their best work in supported community.

My approach builds reputation architecture through voice, narrative, and presence,  so you are perceived and rewarded at the level you operate, without the pressure to behave in a way that feels uncomfortable.

I advise leaders on how to synchronise leader identity across online and in-person environments, creating consistent presence wherever they operate.

Data Shapes Culture. Voice Gives It Form.

I advise and consult with organisations on voice culture. As data increasingly shapes how human behaviour is understood and represented, the diversity of voices and stories we elevate becomes critical.

Company culture is now a producer of voice culture. What is spoken, encouraged, and repeated inside organisations influences not only internal behaviour, but also the wider systems that interpret and reflect human experience.

I support organisations in strengthening how voice, narrative, and communication are developed and expressed; ensuring they reflect complexity, integrity, and lived human reality.

My Story

Storytelling, leadership, and communication at the heart of everything I do

I work at the intersection of storytelling, executive communication, and creative leadership, helping individuals, organisations, and teams communicate with clarity, presence, and impact.

My work brings together theatre, education, public speaking, and strategic communications. At its core, it is about one thing: helping people and organisations find and use their voice in a way that is meaningful, structured, and powerful.

What I do

I support individuals and organisations to communicate more effectively through:

  • Executive storytelling & communication strategy
  • Leadership voice & public speaking development
  • Creative direction for campaigns, events, and cultural programmes
  • Workshops on narrative, presence, and communication skills

I work with leaders, teams, and organisations who want to strengthen how they express ideas — internally, externally, and on stage.

My experience

I bring over 30 years of experience across theatre, education, media, and communications leadership.

Highlights of my work include:

  • Founder of The Storyspace, a weekly storytelling and public speaking platform
  • Delivered workshops at CERN and with Siemens on storytelling and personal branding
  • Member of the European Speechwriters Network
  • Founder & Artistic Director of Roundhouse Productions, an international theatre and community arts company
  • Lecturer in Applied Drama and programme coordinator at University College Cork
  • Producer of award-nominated theatre presented at venues including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival
  • Spokesperson for Waking the Feminists, a national arts equality movement

Across all of this work, I have consistently led teams, built programmes, shaped narratives, and created spaces where communication and creativity can thrive.

My story

My career began in theatre and performance, where I trained in voice, presence, and storytelling and went on to produce and tour original theatre works internationally.

Over time, my work expanded into education, cultural leadership, and communications, including lecturing at university level, leading major conferences, and working with organisations across the arts and public sector.

More recently, my focus has shifted into executive communications and storytelling, helping individuals and organisations articulate their message, strengthen their leadership voice, and communicate with confidence and clarity across platforms and audiences.

This evolution reflects a consistent thread throughout my career: a focus on voice, narrative, and human connection.

My approach

I believe storytelling is infrastructure.

The way we communicate shapes leadership, culture, and opportunity. When people and organisations communicate clearly and authentically, they create stronger relationships, better decisions, and greater impact.

My approach is practical, creative, and grounded in lived experience across performance, education, and executive communication environments.
